Business Development Executive

Job description

Due to continued growth, we have two vacancies within our Growth & Acquisition team - a Business Development Executive (Acquisition) and a Business Development Executive (Growth).

As BDE (Acquisition) you’ll be responsible for acquiring new customers (estate agents, developers, landlords, etc…) and growing them through their first 90 days on the Spec platform. You’ll:

  • Prospect for new business (both from lists given and from using your own existing knowledge of the market) and close new business opportunities;
  • Act as an ambassador for Spec across social channels, events, and in with customers;
  • Present to internal and external decision-makers;
  • Review completed orders and delivery with customers.


As BDE (Growth) you’ll be responsible for growing and developing a set of customers beyond their first 90 days on the Spec platform. You’ll

  • Develop deep relationships at the most senior level of customers
  • Drive order growth through face to face meetings and continuous customer engagement
  • Act as an ambassador for Spec across social channels, events, and in with customers;
  • Present to internal and external decision-makers;
  • Review completed orders and delivery with customers.

Job requirements

To be successful in this role, you’ll need to be comfortable in a fast-paced technology environment and understand how estate agents use technology. You will have a prior sales experience (ideally within the property industry) and a working knowledge of the London property market (including major agents and trends).

In addition to strong experience, you’ll also need to have the following competencies:

    You have a demonstrable ability to analyse customers needs and opportunities, and can reflect on dynamic market needs and ability to formulate a plan and approach.
